Surely it has happened
to you more than once. You are working with a document in Microsoft
Word , and you find blank pages , especially at the
end.
You delete all the
content, but the page does not disappear. It is as if Word detected
some invisible content , which is there but we do not see
it. And, indeed, it is. Surely there are paragraph markers and
other internal marks that Word uses, which are not visible, and are what
prevent the page from being deleted.
In this tutorial we
will see how to delete a blank page in Word.
Start Microsoft
Word and load the document in which the pages are blank. Or any
other, if you just want to do a test.
Click on the Home tab and
click on the Show or hide icon (¶). If you have an
old version of Word you will find it in the upper bar, in the interface:
When you click on the
icon, the hidden end-of-sentence, page break or paragraph
marks Word uses appear on the screen :
Find the blank page
and remove the marks that prevent the page from disappearing. In most
cases, simply place the button in front of the mark and use the Backspace
key. Or select a mark and erase it with Del / Del button.
When you have
finished, press the Show or hide icon (¶) again to
return to standard mode, with the hidden marks. Now you know how
to delete a blank page in Word.
